What did VE do?
VE provided the production design and lighting direction for the main stage of Paradiso, the largest electronic music festival in the Pacific Northwest.
Where did this project take place?
Paradiso is a music festival in the Pacific Northwest that occurs at one of the most beautiful venues in the world: The Gorge Amphitheater in George, Washington, USA. Photos don’t do this place justice.
What was unique about this project?
Designing a stage for a music festival like this one means creating an an arrangement of video screens, lighting fixtures, and pyrotechnics that can entertain fans for 12 hours a day, multiple days in a row. This was the largest rig hung on the Gorge roof to memory, comprised of nearly 400 lighting fixtures and 750 video panels. Some 60,000 fans enjoyed a weekend full of music, where digital meets nature, featuring headline artists Zhu and Skrillex.
