Production design, lighting and media programming for A-list hip hop tour
What did VE do?
In 2017 and 2018, VE provided production design for hip hop artist Logic’s breakout touring cycles.
Where did this project take place?
Both the 2017 Everybody’s Tour and 2018 Bobby Tarantino vs Everybody Tour toured North America, with rehearsals taking place in Nashville and Pennsylvania. Some of the standout venues included The Forum in Los Angeles, Barclay’s Center and Madison Square Garden in New York.
What was unique about this project?
These two tours were part of Logic’s meteoric rise in the mainstream music charts, and as such we were able to craft two very different experiences for his fans during consecutive touring cycles. The 2017 tour stage was smaller, intimate, and paid homage to the art gallery setting that originated in the album artwork for Logic’s Everybody record. The 2018 tour stage was a visual overload with overhead lighting, a giant custom platform in the middle of the stage, and lasers that created a pyramid effect around the artist. It is rare to be able to grow with an artist like this, and we were proud to design these two tours.
